Strategy Sells 1,690 BTC for Over $100 Million and Boosts USD Reserve

In a strategic move, the company Strategy has sold 1,690 Bitcoin (BTC) amounting to an impressive $108.6 million. This action is part of their broader financial strategy to strengthen their position in the cryptocurrency market while simultaneously boosting their dollar reserves.

Selling Bitcoin for Strategic Repurchase

Between August 3 and August 9, Strategy executed the sale of 1,690 BTC at an average price of $64,262 per coin. Following this transaction, the company’s Bitcoin reserve decreased to 840,447 BTC. The total acquisition cost of this reserve stands at a staggering $63.36 billion with an average purchase price of $75,385 per Bitcoin.
The entirety of the net proceeds from this sale was channeled into repurchasing approximately 1.1 million shares of STRC under the Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program. The estimated average buyback price was around $94.27 per share.

Boosting Dollar Reserves Through MSTR Sales

Alongside its Bitcoin dealings, Strategy also focused on increasing its dollar reserves by selling over 6.58 million MSTR shares through an ATM program, yielding a net income of $653.1 million. From this amount, a substantial $650 million was allocated towards enhancing the company’s dollar reserves while another $3.1 million aided in bolstering their overall cash balance.
As a result of these transactions, Strategy’s dollar reserve has surged to an impressive total of $4.65 billion—a significant financial buffer that supports dividend payments on preferred shares and interest obligations on debts.

A Consistent Financial Approach

While Strategy chose not to sell any preferred shares such as STRF, STRC, STRK or STRD through the ATM program during the reporting period—only utilizing MSTR—their approach remains consistent with previous strategies aimed at optimizing resource allocation and capital management.
Previously in July-August 2026 period alone; they had already sold another batch totaling up-to-1638 BTC valued at around-$104-73-million further solidifying their commitment towards maximizing resources efficiently whilst maintaining strong liquidity levels within ever-evolving crypto markets today!
As articulated by co-founder Michael Saylor himself who emphasized that his advice ‘never sell your Bitcoins’ applies more so towards individual investors rather than public companies like theirs which operate under different set parameters altogether when it comes down decision making processes involved therein concerning asset allocations accordingly thereof!
Overall these developments underscore just how effectively organizations can leverage both traditional financial instruments alongside digital assets such cryptocurrencies order achieve greater overall success amidst increasingly competitive landscapes globally speaking too!
