- CryptoQuant’s updated analyst consensus gave Solana the highest share of bullish ratings at 92.9%.
- Ethereum received 84.4% bullish ratings, while bitcoin received 82.5%.
- CryptoQuant also reported elevated XRP futures activity and reviewed bitcoin’s performance after previous U.S. midterm elections.
CryptoQuant shared an upgraded analyst consensus on Oct. 6, 2026, covering 1,708 assets across cryptocurrency and traditional markets. The update showed analysts were most bullish on Solana among the largest crypto assets, followed by Ethereum and bitcoin.
Solana received bullish ratings from 92.9% of analysts. The corresponding figures were 84.4% for Ethereum and 82.5% for bitcoin.
XRP futures activity
CryptoQuant also reported high activity in the XRP futures market. It said September trading volumes increased from August and remained among the highest recorded over the previous six months.
Binance ranked first by XRP futures trading volume in September, with about $32.36 billion. Bybit followed with $12.5 billion, while OKX ranked third with about $11.32 billion.
CryptoQuant said the elevated volumes indicated strong liquidity and active trader positioning in the XRP derivatives market. Although volumes had gradually declined from previous record highs, the firm said the futures market continued to attract strong interest from participants.
Bitcoin and U.S. midterm elections
In a separate analysis, CryptoQuant reviewed the historical performance of the U.S. stock market and bitcoin after midterm elections.
The firm said the S&P 500 had risen during all 19 12-month periods following midterm elections since 1950, with an average gain of 15.4%. It also said the third year of a U.S. presidential term had historically been the strongest for the index.
According to CryptoQuant, bitcoin rose over the 12 months following each of the three midterm elections for which it cited data. The asset gained 24.5% after the 2014 elections, 44.9% after the 2018 elections and 92.3% after the 2022 elections.
However, bitcoin fell 45.5% in the first month after the 2018 election. CryptoQuant cautioned that three observations were insufficient to establish a reliable pattern.
The analysts also identified a divergence between bitcoin’s price and its number of active addresses. They cautioned that active addresses do not represent individual buyers and do not directly measure demand for spot bitcoin exchange-traded funds.
CryptoQuant said investors should monitor bond yields, demand for bitcoin ETFs and progress on cryptocurrency regulation after the midterm elections. In the analysts’ view, political relief could support bitcoin, but sustained growth would require favorable financial conditions.
Separately, VanEck previously forecast that bitcoin could reach $3 million by 2050 and described the asset as a hedge against dollar debasement.
