Nvidia, Nike, Costco and Reddit joined companies opposing the trading of tokenized versions of their shares on OKXICE, according to an updated notice dated October 30, 2026. Their inclusion helped lift the number of objecting issuers from 38 to 50 in two days, substantially reducing the pool of companies available for the platform’s planned offering.

OKXICE is a joint project of cryptocurrency exchange OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange.

Objections expand

The list grew by 12 issuers in two days. In addition to Nvidia, Nike, Costco and Reddit, the new objectors were Micron, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Corning, IREN, USA Rare Earth and Bloom Energy.

Microsoft, Alphabet, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Intel, Oracle, AMD, Coca-Cola, Walmart and other major corporations had previously opposed the inclusion of their shares for trading on OKXICE.

The platform initially planned to offer tokenized securities from 62 companies, represented by 63 tickers. Not all 50 issuers that filed objections were on that original list. Calculations based on the venue’s notices show that 43 companies from the initial group objected.

SEC exemption process

Issuers filed the objections under the temporary Innovation Exemption regime introduced by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in September 2026. The regime allows tokenized securities to trade if specified requirements are met.

Under the framework, issuers have 30 days to submit a formal objection to the trading of tokenized versions of their shares issued by third parties. An objection restricts the listing of the relevant instruments on a specific venue, but it does not amount to a blanket ban on tokenizing the company’s securities.

The objections come as the market capitalization of the tokenized real-world assets sector grows. It exceeded $39 billion as of November 1, 2026, according to RWA.xyz.

The updated OKXICE notice did not specify why the issuers objected. The platform also has not disclosed when trading will begin.
