Bitcoin Amsterdam 2026 is taking place in the Netherlands on Nov. 5-6, with organizers publishing an agenda of more than 60 sessions. The program includes keynotes, panel discussions, hands-on workshops and informal conversations covering Bitcoin development, energy, financial sovereignty, mining, regulation and institutional adoption.

Organizers told Incrypted that Strike CEO Jack Mallers will be one of the headline speakers. His keynote is scheduled for Nov. 6 at 4:15 p.m. Central European Time (CET).

First-day program

The Nov. 5 program opened with sessions on energy independence and Bitcoin’s role in the financial system. In “Generating freedom — what it takes to go off-grid,” Duncan Coombe of The Solo Mining Co. explored self-generated electricity and how to set up mining without relying on centralized providers.

A panel titled “Bitcoin is political, but not partisan” brought together speakers from across the political spectrum to discuss using Bitcoin as an alternative to state money.

Treasury Stage

Sessions on the Treasury Stage examined cryptocurrency history and its place in the financial system. “Bitcoin’s earliest moments and how it could have collapsed” featured researcher Alex Waltz, early Bitcoin developer Martti Malmi and Aaron van Wirdum, author of The Genesis Book. They discussed the network’s early development and circumstances that could have threatened its survival.

In “DAC8 — Europe’s war on financial privacy,” Theo Mogenet of Bull Bitcoin discussed the legal challenges France faces in implementing European Union rules on reporting crypto-asset transactions.

The Deep Stage and beginner program

Participants in “Big Bitcoin — under control?” discussed the concentration of influence in the Bitcoin ecosystem at 1 p.m. CET. The session was available only to Whale Pass ticket holders.

Randy Hipper from Miss Teen Crypto delivered “Bitcoin 101,” a hands-on introductory course covering the basics of bitcoin. In “Your mom uses ChatGPT, but not bitcoin,” Fred King from CryptoSnake examined key barriers to mass crypto adoption.

Second-day agenda

The Nov. 6 program focuses on capital management, financial independence, the history of monetary systems and the development of Bitcoin infrastructure.

Capital management and monetary history

Eric Balans from Harmony Partners is scheduled to deliver the morning talk “Mindful wealth — protecting the assets you carry with you.” Richard Byworth of BYZ Partners, Hunter Albright of SALT Lending and Peter Lane of Bitcoin Life will discuss long-term asset management in “Generational wealth — how personal sovereignty shapes a legacy.”

Rahim Taghizadegan of Deedsats, Willem Middelkoop of Commodity Discovery Fund and Thomas Bollen will examine the history of European finance and bitcoin’s role in the current monetary system during “Monetary history and Europe’s future — Austrian economics, banks, and bitcoin.”

Proof-of-Work Stage

In “Who controls the mining stack?”, Coombe and Abubakar Sadiq Ismail from 2140.dev will examine how control is distributed across mining hardware, software and pools.

Representatives from BitVault, BitBox and Wesatoshis Labs will discuss the balance between crypto-wallet security and ease of use in “Will self-custody ever be safe?” Bitcoin Core’s Sjors Provoost and van Wirdum will also discuss changes in the new Bitcoin Core 32 software release during a technical session.

Institutions, regulation and special sessions

Rafa Zagury of 21 Capital, Ben Werkman of Strive and Cormac Deenan of StoneX Digital International will participate in “The link between institutional investment, capital markets, and digital assets.”

A Dutch-language panel titled “The state vs. the market — how much state do we need in money?” will feature Paul Buitink of Holland Gold and Simon Lelieveldt discussing the state’s role in the monetary system and the limits of regulatory intervention.

Mallers’ keynote is the headline event of the second day. He will also join Robert Breedlove at 1 p.m. CET on The Deep Stage for the What is Money show, a discussion about bitcoin, global macroeconomics and individual sovereignty.

“Biohacking for bitcoiners,” a question-and-answer session featuring Siim Land and Nick Karpousis, is scheduled for 2 p.m. CET on The Deep Stage.

Organizers said The Deep Stage is available exclusively to Whale Pass ticket holders. Sessions on the public stages are open to attendees with the appropriate conference tickets.
