Bitcoin Whales Accumulate 404,448 BTC in the Last 30 Days

In a significant development for the cryptocurrency market, Bitcoin whales have been actively accumulating Bitcoin, amassing a total of 404,448 BTC over the past 30 days. This accumulation, valued at approximately $23 billion, could be an indicator of an impending bullish market, according to Ki Young Ju, CEO of CryptoQuant.

Market Dynamics and Whale Activity

Ki Young Ju, the founder and CEO of the analytical platform CryptoQuant, highlighted that Bitcoin whales are preparing for the next market rally. “I am almost certain—something is happening behind the scenes. This is clear accumulation,” he stated. The surge in demand for Bitcoin has occurred amidst heightened market volatility. For instance, on August 5, 2024, Bitcoin’s price dipped below $50,000 but quickly rebounded to $57,000.

Volatility and Market Trends

Data from K33 Research indicated that Bitcoin experienced its most volatile day in the last 20 months. The previous comparable volatility was witnessed in November 2022, following the collapse of the cryptocurrency exchange FTX. As of the latest data, Bitcoin is trading at $57,030. The accumulated Bitcoin held by whales is valued at over $23 billion.

Future Investments and Market Outlook

Ki Young Ju added that several organizations, large corporations, and countries might announce their investments in Bitcoin by Q3 2024. He believes that retail investors will regret not buying Bitcoin earlier due to concerns about asset sales by the German government, Mt. Gox transactions, and other factors.
In a separate post on X (formerly Twitter), Ki Young Ju noted that the “miner capitulation” is nearing its end, with the hash rate approaching historical highs. Long-term holders had been selling their assets from March to June 2024, leading to reduced selling pressure from Bitcoin whales in the market.

Expert Insights and Predictions

Based on the current data, Ki Young Ju remains optimistic about the growth of Bitcoin and other assets. He mentioned, “If the market does not recover in two weeks, I will reassess my stance. If I am wrong, it means the new whales are either mistaken or underestimating the macroeconomic environment.”
Additionally, Matt Hougan, the CIO of Bitwise, has also predicted a market recovery following the recent price drops.
In summary, the significant accumulation of Bitcoin by whales, coupled with the anticipated investments from major players, suggests a potential bullish market ahead. The reduced selling pressure from long-term holders and the nearing end of miner capitulation further support this optimistic outlook for Bitcoin’s future.
