Revolut Aims for a $115 Billion Valuation Before IPO — Report

In an ambitious move, fintech company Revolut is gearing up for a secondary share sale, targeting a staggering valuation of $115 billion. This potential transaction, as reported by Bloomberg, could launch as soon as this month. It would offer early investors and employees the opportunity to liquidate some of their holdings.

Strategic Discussions Underway

Revolut’s Chairman Martin Gilbert is actively engaging with prospective investors regarding this secondary share sale. Intriguingly, one of the negotiation venues has been the Monaco Grand Prix. Although final deal terms have yet to be confirmed, achieving such a valuation would significantly boost CEO and co-founder Nikolay Storonsky’s stake in the company.

Banking on Cryptocurrency and Banking Services

This potential increase in valuation comes on the heels of several pivotal developments by Revolut. In March 2026, the company applied for a full banking license in the United States. While it currently provides financial services in America via a partnership with Lead Bank, owning its own license could expand its product offerings dramatically.
Additionally, Revolut has secured a full banking license in the UK, paving the way for more aggressive development of credit products. Simultaneously, it expands its footprint in digital assets. Previously chosen by British regulators as one of four participants in a stablecoin testing sandbox, Revolut views this involvement as regulatory trust in its expanding cryptocurrency services.
Further solidifying its crypto ambitions, Revolut’s U.S. division has announced plans to establish a bank supporting crypto-assets and stablecoins.

No IPO Before 2028

Importantly, this current share sale does not involve raising new capital but allows existing shareholders and employees to monetize portions of their stakes through secondary transactions—an approach Revolut has previously employed successfully.
The last such transaction occurred in November 2025 when the company’s valuation reached $75 billion. Notable participants included Coatue Management, Andreessen Horowitz, and Nvidia’s venture arm.
Storonsky has acknowledged that additional secondary sales might occur before any public offering takes place. However, he emphasized that no IPO will happen before 2028.
If successful at hitting its target valuation during this share sale round, Revolut will rank among the world’s most valuable private fintech companies and edge closer to being one of Europe’s most prized financial entities.
In September 2025, Revolut received approval from UAE’s Central Bank to launch services there—a testament to its growing international presence and strategic ambitions within both traditional finance and emerging digital asset markets.
