LayerZero Labs Announces New Airdrop Details

LayerZero Labs CEO Bryan Pellegrino has shared comprehensive updates on the ZRO token distribution, set to benefit 594,641 participants. The airdrop rewards will prioritize users who engaged in early-stage transactions, with these participants receiving triple the rewards. Additionally, users who conducted three transactions during the late period will be awarded 50 tokens each.

Reward Distribution Breakdown

Pellegrino’s detailed breakdown reveals that 84,000 participants qualify for the late-period transaction rewards, accounting for 4.2 million ZRO tokens. The reward distribution is designed to vary from 50 to 5,000 tokens, with the majority of users receiving between 50 and 250 tokens. This structured approach aims to incentivize early adopters and active participants.

Addressing Sybil Attacks

LayerZero Labs has also released a preliminary list of over 1 million addresses identified as sybils, which are deemed ineligible for the token distribution. The list is available for community review, and any proven inaccuracies will lead to adjustments. This proactive measure underscores the commitment to a fair and transparent airdrop process.

Ensuring Fair Distribution

Earlier, Pellegrino emphasized the importance of a fair airdrop distribution, suggesting the removal of rewards for certain participant categories based on interim results from the sybil hunt. This initiative, supported by Nansen’s expertise, identified a significant cluster of sybils, further refining the eligibility criteria.
LayerZero Labs’ meticulous approach to token distribution reinforces its dedication to rewarding genuine participants while safeguarding the integrity of the airdrop. The broader impact on the crypto market includes enhanced trust and more robust participation in future projects.
