In a fusion of cutting-edge technology and festive spirit, the ETHKyiv Impulse: Based Edition event unfolded in Kyiv, captivating the Ukrainian Ethereum community. This unique gathering combined the excitement of a mini-hackathon focused on artificial intelligence (AI) agents within the L2 Base network with the celebration of the community’s three-year anniversary. Held by the Ethereum Ukraine Community, the event drew significant attention from both local and international crypto enthusiasts.

On December 21, 50 enthusiastic builders converged for the third mini-hackathon hosted by Ethereum Ukraine. While the event was enveloped in a festive atmosphere, complete with limited edition hoodies, gifts, and an Ethereum-themed cake, it also served as a platform for rigorous technical exploration. Attendees delved into experiments with AI agents on the Base network, showcasing the community’s commitment to advancing Web3 technologies.

Key Figures and Industry Endorsements

The event’s prominence was further underscored by the presence of Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin, as well as support from industry leaders like ether.fi, Uniswap, and the Ethereum Foundation. The community’s founder, Rostyslav Bortman, emphasized the promising outlook for 2025, with plans for more hackathons, strategic partnerships, and innovative projects aimed at shaping Ukraine’s Web3 future.

Innovative Projects and Technical Workshops

The event kicked off with workshops led by partners such as Morpheus and Hacken, who contributed to a prize pool of $6,000. Participants engaged in a case study by beliefs.social before embarking on their project development. Over the course of 12 intensive hours, 50 participants presented 10 projects, with three making it to the finals. These projects highlighted the intersection of blockchain and AI, demonstrating the potential of emerging technologies.

Community Support and Philanthropy

Beyond technical achievements, the event also focused on community support. Organizers raised funds for the 12th Special Purpose Brigade “Azov”, collecting 22,000 UAH through a unique initiative. Participants who donated were entered into a raffle for a Vitalik Buterin-autographed flag, underscoring the community’s dedication to support national causes.
