CORE3 Presents Risk Database for Web3 Sector Covering Over 1600 Crypto Projects and Exchanges

In a significant leap forward for cryptocurrency investors and stakeholders, CORE3 has unveiled its groundbreaking standardized risk database tailored for the Web3 industry. This innovative platform evaluates an impressive array of 1426 crypto projects and 253 centralized exchanges by assessing their likelihood of encountering unfavorable events.

A Comprehensive Risk Assessment Methodology

CORE3’s meticulous approach is built upon the analysis of more than 4000 incidents within the industry. The platform rates projects using a probability loss index—a metric ranging from 1 to 100 that reflects the potential occurrence of negative events and their consequences. Alarmingly, the current average score stands at 70.87, indicating the industry’s vulnerability.

Core Evaluation Categories

The platform scrutinizes projects across six critical categories: security, finances, operational processes, regulatory risks, dependencies, and reputation. This holistic strategy not only addresses technical vulnerabilities but also considers managerial and financial factors that could impact project stability.

Inclusive Methodology Tailored to Industry Needs

With a methodology encompassing 29 categories specific to Web3 projects alongside a dedicated assessment model for centralized exchanges, CORE3 ensures comprehensive coverage. Verified data forms the foundation of evaluation; however, any lack of information is treated as a risk factor.

Evolving from Audits to Integrated Risk Evaluation

According to Dima Budorin, co-founder of CORE3, traditional audits often overlook numerous factors leading to project failures. This realization prompted CORE3’s evolution from CER.live—previously focused solely on assessing exchange security—to providing an all-encompassing framework addressing varied risks within the crypto ecosystem.

Supporting Market Self-Regulation with Transparent Standards

CORE3’s developers believe that their transparent assessment standards will empower market participants towards self-regulation. Otherwise, they warn an increase in incidents might lead to stricter governmental oversight.
Looking ahead to April 2026, CORE3 plans an industry discussion involving representatives from Moody’s, C4, and CryptoRank. Additionally, efforts are underway to enhance integration with CoinGecko by introducing new exchange evaluation parameters while strengthening existing systems like Trust Score.
Overall, this initiative marks a crucial step in fostering greater transparency and accountability within the rapidly evolving world of cryptocurrency markets. By setting clear benchmarks for assessing risks across diverse facets of digital assets trading platforms worldwide—CORE-initiated changes could herald broader acceptance among institutional investors seeking reliable insights before venturing into uncharted territories offered by decentralized finance innovations such as blockchain-based tokens or smart contracts implementation strategies used throughout today’s dynamic fintech landscape.
