Community Calls for dYdX Foundation to Restore Migration Bridge Following $25 Million Token Lockup

In an unprecedented move within the cryptocurrency landscape, more than 41.6 million ethDYDX tokens have been trapped within a smart contract after the shutdown of a cross-chain bridge. This has left approximately 45,000 investors grappling with uncertainty and calling on the dYdX Foundation to take immediate action.
The cross-chain bridge, which facilitated the conversion of ethDYDX from Ethereum to native DYDX on the dYdX Chain, was officially disabled on June 13, 2025. The decision to close this vital link was made via a DAO community vote back in December 2024 when it was resolved to cease support for the wethDYDX smart contract. Token holders were granted a six-month window for transition before operations ceased entirely.
