Bitget: Gaming and Travel as Primary Directions for Crypto Payments

The financial landscape continues to evolve with the ever-growing integration of cryptocurrency into daily life. According to the report “PayFi Unlocked: Crypto Payment Use Cases in 2025”, released by the Bitget Wallet team, digital assets are being predominantly used for gaming (36%), everyday expenses (35%), and travel (35%). This trend highlights a shifting paradigm where crypto is becoming a mainstream option for various types of spending.

Diverse Usage Across Generations

Analyzing preferences among different age groups reveals distinct patterns in crypto usage. Generation Z tends to favor crypto payments for gaming and gifting. Millennials, on the other hand, prefer using digital currencies for shopping and subscriptions. Meanwhile, Generation X leans towards utilizing cryptocurrencies for larger expenditures such as travel and real estate. These differences stem from varying financial priorities and lifestyle choices across generations.

Regional Variations in Crypto Adoption

The report also uncovers significant regional disparities in how cryptocurrencies are utilized. In Southeast Asia, gaming payments dominate at 41%, driven by a youthful population actively engaging with gaming models. In East Asia, everyday purchases account for 41% due to seamless integration of cryptocurrencies with e-commerce platforms and QR payments.
In Africa, cryptocurrencies find frequent use in education (38%), reflecting limited access to traditional banking services. Latin America shows a strong interest in purchasing digital goods and online shopping. Meanwhile, users in the Middle East often opt for paying luxury items and automobiles with crypto.

Bitget Wallet’s Infrastructure Expansion

To cater to this growing demand, Bitget Wallet is enhancing its payment infrastructure significantly. It now supports QR code payments through Solana Pay systems alongside other compatible protocols. Additionally, it has launched a card powered by Mastercard that enables cryptocurrency payments at over 150 million merchants worldwide—a feature where funds are automatically converted into fiat currency seamlessly at point-of-sale transactions.
This expansion not only caters to existing needs but also positions Bitget Wallet at the forefront of facilitating broader adoption of cryptocurrencies in daily transactions globally.
With these developments underscoring an increasing shift toward mainstream crypto utilization across diverse sectors—particularly games—and regions worldwide becoming partakers within this digital economy revolutionizing how we transact—it becomes evident that these advancements hold great potential implications on transforming both consumer behaviors as well as reshaping traditional monetary systems moving forward—all while paving avenues toward greater financial inclusion around globe!
