Bitcoin falls following inflation report
Bitcoin declined after the inflation data was released, falling from around $83,900 to $81,916 at the time of writing. An hourly BTC/USDT chart was available on TradingView.
The inflation increase heightened concerns about the Federal Reserve’s next moves. Faster consumer-price growth could push the regulator to keep raising interest rates, adding pressure to risk assets, including cryptocurrencies.
CryptoQuant analysts previously attributed bitcoin’s decline following the release of August US inflation data to weak spot demand.
