Capital Influx for Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs After Two Months of Outflows

The world of cryptocurrency witnessed a pivotal week as spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs recorded substantial capital inflows for the first time in two months. This shift marks a notable change in investor sentiment and could signal renewed interest in digital asset investments.

Bitcoin ETFs Attract Significant Investment

During the period from July 6 to July 10, 2026, spot Bitcoin ETFs in the United States transitioned to a net capital inflow after enduring eight successive weeks of outflows. According to data from SoSoValue, investors poured $197.4 million into Bitcoin funds.
Among these funds, BlackRock’s IBIT fund made the largest contribution to this positive outcome by attracting an astonishing $291.89 million in investments.
However, not all funds experienced gains. The GBTC and FBTC funds faced outflows of $108.14 million and $93.34 million respectively.

Ethereum ETFs Return to Growth

Spot Ethereum ETFs also returned to positive territory with an influx of $84.42 million after enduring extended periods of outflows.
The leading contributors were ETHA from BlackRock with an inflow of $53.75 million and FETH from Fidelity adding another $37.48 million.
Despite these gains, some funds like ETHB experienced minor outflows amounting to $2.7 million.

Altcoin ETF Market Dynamics

In the sphere of altcoin-based ETFs, HYPE-ETF emerged as a leader by attracting an impressive capital influx of $10.36 million.
Conversely, XRP-ETF and Litecoin-ETF saw significant losses amounting to $7.18 million and $0.43 million respectively.
The broader implications for these movements suggest potential shifts in market dynamics as investors reassess their strategies concerning crypto assets.
This recent upswing follows a sharp reversal from late June when investors withdrew substantial amounts from both Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs over consecutive weeks, marking this as a pivotal moment for cryptocurrency markets worldwide.
