Space and Time: Mainnet Launch Revolutionizes Blockchain Data Infrastructure

Blockchain project Space and Time has officially announced the launch of its mainnet—a significant milestone that promises to enhance the way decentralized applications (dApps) handle data. This development is particularly exciting as it introduces a robust ZK-infrastructure designed specifically for dApps. The startup, backed by industry giant Microsoft, aims to redefine how smart contracts access historical, cross-chain, and off-chain data securely.

From Testnet Success to Mainnet Launch

During the testnet phase, over 30 validators from around the globe participated in testing Space and Time’s capabilities. This global engagement laid a solid foundation for the subsequent launch of their native token—SXT—on May 8th. The token serves as a utility asset within the Space and Time ecosystem.

Innovations Driving Security and Efficiency

One of the groundbreaking features of this launch is the Proof-of-SQL mechanism. This zero-knowledge co-computation engine generates cryptographic proofs for each query request made by developers. As co-founder Scott Dykstra explains, before Space and Time, on-chain applications lacked a secure method for requesting user data from blockchain activity without risking interference or tampering.
The platform’s architecture allows Ethereum data to be transformed into tamperproof SQL tables via a network of lightweight servers. These tables act similarly to distributed ledgers, ensuring data integrity across multiple blockchain environments.

Strategic Partnerships Enhancing Ecosystem Growth

Space and Time has successfully attracted various strategic partners across different sectors. These include financial institutions as well as cloud service providers like Microsoft Azure and Google BigQuery. Furthermore, collaborations with top crypto projects such as Chainlink, Sui, and ZKsync highlight its growing influence within the industry.
Dykstra encourages community involvement in this open mainnet by inviting participants to join either as validators or delegated stakers. Such inclusivity underpins their commitment to decentralization.

A Promising Future with Solid Backing

In August last year, Space and Time secured $20 million in Series A funding—a testament to investor confidence in their vision—and now stands poised at the forefront of blockchain innovation.
This mainnet launch not only marks an evolution in dApp development but also reinforces Space and Time’s role in shaping future blockchain interactions through enhanced security measures combined with transparent accessibility solutions for developers worldwide.
