Estimating the Arrival of “Q-Day”

Justin Drake forecasts that there is a 50% chance that “Q-day” — when quantum computers might feasibly break actual cryptographic systems — could occur by 2032. He further predicts a 10% likelihood by 2030. This estimation underscores growing concerns about current cryptographic resilience against such technological advancements.
