- Pump.fun introduced Pump Bridge on Oct. 21, 2026, as a crosschain trading service intended to improve execution through its app.
- The company said Pump Bridge completed typical purchases twice as fast as Relay, recorded about 92% fewer failed buys and delivered a roughly 17% smaller gap between spot prices and tokens received.
- Pump Bridge became the pump.fun app’s default route for crosschain trades after randomized testing involving more than 400,000 trade outcomes.
Memecoin launchpad pump.fun introduced Pump Bridge in an Oct. 21 post on X, saying the crosschain trading service offers faster execution, fewer errors and better pricing than Relay. Relay has been used by Fomo and pump.fun, according to the company’s statement.
Pump.fun said it began developing crosschain trading in May 2026 and built Pump Bridge in less than six months. The company currently charges no additional fee for use of the bridge.
Execution speed and reliability
A typical purchase through Pump Bridge takes 1.95 seconds, compared with nearly four seconds through Relay, according to pump.fun. The fastest 10% of Pump Bridge purchases complete in 1.23 seconds, while the comparable figure for Relay is 2.75 seconds.
The company also said 90% of trades through Pump Bridge complete faster than a typical Relay purchase.
Pump.fun said instant crosschain execution is physically impossible because a trading intent must be sent to the Solana network and then to the destination network. It estimated the theoretical minimum execution time at about 1.1 seconds, placing the fastest 10% of Pump Bridge purchases within 0.13 seconds of that threshold.
The failed-buy rate for Pump Bridge was 0.9%, compared with 11.2% for Relay, the company said. Based on those rates, a trader making 10 trades a day would encounter a Relay error on average more than once per day, while a Pump Bridge error would be expected about once every 11 days.
Pricing and test methodology
Pump.fun said the gap between a token’s spot price and the number of tokens actually received was about 17% smaller through Pump Bridge than through Relay.
As an example, the company estimated that a trader making 10 transactions of $500 each day could incur about $11,000 in additional annual losses by using Relay instead of Pump Bridge.
The figures came from a randomized in-app test conducted from Sept. 28 to Oct. 7, 2026, pump.fun said. Users were randomly assigned to Relay or Pump Bridge, and the allocation between the two services was adjusted several times during the test.
The company evaluated speed using 383,326 trades, measuring the interval from a user’s button click to the successful execution message. It assessed reliability using 416,669 trade outcomes and evaluated price execution through 35,333 completed USDC purchases worth up to $500.
After the test ended, Pump Bridge became the default route for crosschain trades in the pump.fun app.
In April 2026, the pump.fun team announced the burn of $370 million worth of PUMP tokens.
