- Fhenix plans to launch its mainnet on Ethereum and Arbitrum on Oct. 21, 2026.
- The project will introduce a token standard for switching between public and private balances in a single transaction.
- Five retail-focused decentralized applications selected from roughly 60 projects will launch with the network.
Fhenix, a confidential computing protocol, said it will launch its mainnet on Ethereum and Arbitrum on Oct. 21, 2026. The launch will introduce confidential token functionality through a Dual-Mode Token Standard, while five retail-focused decentralized applications will go live alongside the network.
The network will use the CoFHE coprocessor, which relies on fully homomorphic encryption, or FHE. The technology allows smart contracts to perform computations directly on encrypted data, enabling balances, stakes and user positions to remain confidential while contracts execute their programmed logic.
Public and private token balances
Fhenix founder Guy Zyskind said the mainnet would allow users to switch tokens from public mode to private mode without leaving the Ethereum ecosystem.
The Dual-Mode Token Standard enables users to move between public and private balances in a single transaction without bridges, wrapped assets or transfers to another network. Tokens using the standard remain compatible with existing wallets and decentralized-finance protocols, according to the project.
The Ethereum deployment forms part of Fhenix’s strategy to bring encrypted computing to the ecosystem. Its Arbitrum integration extends the project’s collaboration with Offchain.
The companies are also developing Fhenix’s first private-payments product. Fhenix plans to launch it shortly after the mainnet, with Arbitrum expected to play an important role in its operation.
Five applications selected for launch
Fhenix selected the five applications from roughly 60 projects, considering product demand, application quality and the extent to which privacy materially affects each product’s functionality.
Fhenix incubated some of the projects, while others emerged through the Akindo and Arbitrum Open House programs. Some participating teams have worked with Fhenix for nearly a year.
“We chose partners whose products, by definition, cannot exist without privacy. Mainnet is the moment when they stop being demos,” Fhenix CEO Guy Itzhaki said.
Ahead of the launch, Fhenix’s user-facing FHE Liar’s Dice game recorded more than 8 million encryption and decryption operations in a single day on the testnet.
FHE infrastructure expansion
The mainnet launch continues Fhenix’s expansion of its FHE infrastructure. In July 2026, the company acquired the Sunscreen team, which was also developing fully homomorphic encryption for Web3.
Fhenix has also announced planned CoFHE integrations with Canopy, Sedona and Nomyx. The team expects to deliver five additional proof-of-concept projects and tier-one partnerships by the end of 2026.
Fhenix is developing privacy-preserving computing infrastructure for Ethereum. The project has raised $22 million from investors including Multicoin Capital, Hack VC, Collider, HashKey Capital, GSR, Amber Group, BIPROGY and Translink Capital.
