Financial platform Bybit said it will hold the World Series of Trading in 2026, with registration opening on October 29 at 12:00 Kyiv time and competitions running through December 2. The sixth edition will offer a maximum prize pool of 10 million USDT and expand beyond cryptocurrency trading for the first time.

Bybit, which has more than 80 million users worldwide, told Incrypted that WSOT 2026 will operate under the slogan “The whole world trades here.” Participants will be able to trade digital assets, stocks, gold, oil and indices through one account, while traders using artificial intelligence tools will have a separate tournament.

Before registration begins, Bybit is inviting traders, content creators and community leaders from different countries to create teams for the competition.

WSOT 2026 program

According to Bybit’s press release, the event reflects the company’s development into a multi-asset financial platform. The final prize pool, capped at 10 million USDT, will depend on participants’ total trading volume and will be distributed across five tracks.

In the team tournament, rankings will be based on percentage returns. Rewards will be available to leading team captains and the first teams formed. The individual tournament will rank traders by profit and loss in three categories: light, medium and heavy.

The global-assets track will have separate rankings for spot trading and TradFi perpetual contracts covering cryptocurrencies, stocks, gold, oil and indices. The AI tournament will provide a separate leaderboard for participants using Bybit AI or dedicated AI sub-accounts.

A warm-up quest will feature trading tasks in five arenas and allow participants to earn rewards throughout the competition. Bybit also plans rewards for recruiting new participants, available to both team leaders and members.

Competition schedule

All listed events will begin and end at 12:00 Kyiv time. Registration for the warm-up quest will run from October 29 through December 2.

The team-tournament qualification period will run from October 29 to November 11, when participants can form teams. The main team competition will take place from November 13 to December 2. The individual and AI tournaments will run over the same period.

The global-assets category will be divided into two schedules. The spot competition will run from November 5 to November 26, while the TradFi perpetual-contracts competition will take place from November 19 to December 2.

Participation requirements

There is no minimum capital requirement to register. Participation is subject to the event requirements, identity verification and completion of a product-suitability assessment.

Wash trading, self-trading, multiple-account use and collusion are prohibited and subject to monitoring. Participants who break the rules will be disqualified. Pro users, market makers and institutional users are not eligible.

Product availability varies by region, and some products and services may not be available to all users. People in restricted countries and regions cannot participate, and the event is not intended for residents of the European Economic Area.

2025 results

Bybit said WSOT 2025 was the largest edition by participant numbers. After the company removed the minimum capital requirement for registration, 520,451 traders from 202 countries and regions took part, almost seven times the 2024 total, and formed 1,474 teams.

According to Bybit, 71,765 people joined within 24 hours, setting a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS record.

WSOT began in 2020 with nearly 12,000 traders. By 2024, it had expanded to 161 countries and reached cumulative trading volume of $100 billion. Bybit subsequently added leagues for different participant categories, copy trading and trading through decentralized exchanges.

Risk and legal terms

Trading digital assets and derivatives carries significant risk, particularly when leverage is used, and participants may lose all funds involved. Rewards do not offset trading losses.

The full terms on the event page govern the competition and prevail if discrepancies arise. Bybit reserves the right to change the event terms without notice and retains final authority to interpret them. Participants are responsible for taxes on rewards, although Bybit may withhold or deduct taxes when required by applicable law.
