BitMine Expands Its Ethereum Portfolio Exceeding $44 Million

BitMine, recognized as the largest corporate holder of Ethereum, recently expanded its digital asset reserves by purchasing 14,618 ETH at an investment totaling $44.3 million. This strategic move aligns with BitMine’s ongoing effort to accumulate a substantial share of the Ethereum supply.
The acquired crypto assets were deposited into this wallet, with an average acquisition cost of $3030 per ETH. Interestingly, on November 27, 2025, Ethereum demonstrated positive market momentum and surpassed the $3000 mark.

Current Market Position

As per the latest data from Arkham Intelligence and TradingView, Ethereum is trading at approximately $3059 on Binance. BitMine’s total holdings amount to 3.62 million ETH valued at around $10.9 billion, which constitutes about 3% of all available Ether.
However, despite these significant holdings, BitMine is currently facing unrealized losses estimated at $3.6 billion due to market fluctuations.

Strategic Objectives and Market Implications

Looking ahead, BitMine aims to control up to 5% of the total Ethereum supply as part of its long-term strategic objectives. This ambition underscores their confidence in Ethereum’s potential growth trajectory and their commitment to establishing a dominant position within the cryptocurrency landscape.
Moreover, industry experts from 10x Research have suggested that approval for staking in spot-based Ethereum ETFs might pose challenges for treasury companies like DAT (Decentralized Autonomous Trusts). Such funds could potentially offer comparable returns but with reduced risk profiles.
This development highlights a dynamic shift within crypto investments where traditional financial products are increasingly adapting to incorporate digital assets like Ethereum.
In summary, while BitMine faces current unrealized losses amidst market volatility, its aggressive accumulation strategy reflects a robust belief in Ethereum’s future prospects and its expanding role in diversified financial portfolios worldwide.
