Analysts Record Largest Wallets Accumulating STRK After 330% Rally

  • STRK rose about 330% over four weeks before Starknet recorded a one-day high of 1,166 new wallets at the token’s local price peak.
  • Santiment said Starknet’s 10 largest addresses held about 7.09 billion STRK, their highest combined balance since April.
  • StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson urged blockchain developers to prepare for potential quantum threats and rapid advances in artificial intelligence.

Santiment said on Oct. 12, 2026, that Starknet’s STRK token had risen about 330% over four weeks before wallet creation reached a one-day record at the local price peak, a pattern the analysts linked to fear of missing out and an increased risk of a short-term pullback. The firm also said Starknet’s 10 largest addresses held about 7.09 billion STRK, their biggest combined balance since April, indicating that the largest holders continued to add tokens even as retail interest cooled.

New wallets reached record at local peak

A record 1,166 new STRK wallets were created in one day as the token reached its local price peak, according to Santiment. The analytics firm described the activity as a classic FOMO pattern in which new participants enter after a substantial rally has become visible.

Such activity can concentrate buying near the top and raise the likelihood of a short-term correction, Santiment said. The firm said STRK’s subsequent pullback matched that pattern.

The largest holders behaved differently. Starknet’s top 10 addresses continued increasing their positions and reached a combined balance of about 7.09 billion STRK, according to Santiment. The firm provided its analysis in an Oct. 12 post alongside a live Starknet chart.

StarkWare CEO raises quantum and AI risks

StarkWare CEO Eli Ben-Sasson separately raised questions about Starknet’s long-term security and whether moving the network to layer 1 could provide greater cryptographic flexibility.

Ben-Sasson identified the potential threat from quantum computing and the rapid development of artificial intelligence as two factors that blockchain infrastructure must address. He suggested quantum computing could become a threat sooner than expected, while AI capabilities were advancing faster than society could understand them, and urged swift preparations for future risks.

Ben-Sasson outlined three areas for consideration: using cryptographic mechanisms capable of withstanding future threats; maintaining cryptographic agility so algorithms and security mechanisms can change as new risks emerge; and considering a move to L1 to strengthen Starknet’s resilience.

He also questioned whether moving Starknet to L1 would make sense and did not present such a move as a decision that had already been made.

In August 2026, StarkWare announced that it had completed a quantum-resistant transaction on the Bitcoin network.
