Ethereum Staking Protocols Nearing a TVL of $8 Billion in Crypto

1 Min Read

The total value locked (TVL) in Ethereum liquid restaking protocols (LRT) has surged to $7.92 billion as of March 31, 2024. This is a significant increase, considering the TVL was at $3.5 billion on February 20, hence showing a growth of over 100% in less than two months.

According to experts at The Block, the surge in deposits has been observed in protocols like Ether.Fi, Renzo, Kelp, Puffer, and a few others. They believe that the interest in using EigenLayer on these platforms is one of the reasons for the influx of funds.

Ether.Fi reportedly has the highest TVL with over $3.2 billion. Renzo follows in second place with a TVL of $2 billion, while Puffer rounds out the top three with a TVL of $1.3 billion.

Several other LRT entities also have notable amounts of locked funds. These include Kelp with over $740 million, EigenPie with $328 million, Swell with $265 million, Bedrock with $145 million, Prime with $42 million, and ClayStack with $10 million.

In other related news, Ether.Fi has previously attracted $23 million in investments, and the Renzo project raised $3.2 million in funding.
