Spot Bitcoin ETFs Record Capital Inflow Amidst Ethereum ETF Outflows

In recent developments within the cryptocurrency market, spot Bitcoin ETFs have shown significant capital inflows while Ethereum ETFs are experiencing renewed outflows. This divergence in trends highlights the evolving landscape of crypto investments.
Bitcoin Spot ETF Performance
On May 12, 2025, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded an impressive capital inflow amounting to $5.10 million, marking four consecutive days of gains. Notably, BlackRock’s IBIT product stood out by securing a substantial influx of $69.41 million. Despite this overall positive momentum in the sector, certain prominent funds encountered setbacks: GBTC faced an outflow of $32.93 million, BITB saw $17.73 million leave its coffers, FBTC experienced a withdrawal of $11.11 million, and BTCO registered an exit of $2.54 million.
Meanwhile, data sourced from SoSoValue indicates that over the last four trading sessions, nearly $600 million flowed into the U.S. Bitcoin ETF sector.
Ethereum ETF Sector Trends
Conversely, the Ethereum ETF sector did not share in this upbeat trajectory as it reported renewed fund withdrawals totaling $17.59 million on May 12th alone. Products such as ETHE and FETH were among those affected most significantly with respective outflows reaching figures like $9.61 million and $7.98 million each.
Interestingly enough though there was one exception during this period — only on May 11th did any notable fund entry occur within these markets according again to SoSoValue insights.

Hong Kong Market Dynamics

Overseas markets paint quite another picture altogether — Hong Kong’s own dedicated offerings saw notable activity whereby their respective bitcoin-focused exchange-traded funds recorded deposits equivalent themselves comprising approximately both amounts themselves measured either via BTC (totaling precisely around some approximate number equaling roughly about fifty-six point eighty-nine) or ETH units (collectively summing up close toward six hundred fourteen point sixteen).
By examining these trends closely we can discern how diverse regional influences shape investor behavior across differing contexts globally thus broadening our understanding concerning evolving crypto dynamics worldwide more generally speaking overall!
