The unknown individual who hacked Prisma Finance, a liquid staking protocol, has reportedly negotiated with the protocol’s team. He claims to be an ethical hacker and is interested in returning the assets, subject to certain demands.

Prisma Finance became known as the victim of a hacker attack on March 28, 2024. According to PeckShield analysts, the protocol lost $11.6 million in assets, and the malefactor financed the hack through the FixedFloat cryptocurrency exchange.

Subsequently, the unknown party transferred $6.5 million to the Tornado Cash mixer and left a message for the project developers. He stated that he wanted to move the funds to a safe place before starting negotiations about their return. The hacker also criticized the Prisma Finance team for the technical implementation of the project.

During further communication with the developers, the anonymous party claimed to be an ethical hacker and expressed interest in returning user assets. However, to do so, he requires the Prisma Finance team to meet certain demands.

The hacker demands that the developers hold a public online conference during which they reveal their identities. He also requested that the team apologize to investors and users for their mistakes. In addition, the developers should thank the hacker for his operation and announce their joint work on solving the problem.

According to the hacker, the Prisma Finance representatives made a gross mistake in the project implementation and were not honest with customers. The developers, in turn, offered the hacker to return part of the funds to support his claims of goodwill.

The unknown party was dissatisfied with the team’s responses and behavior. He alleges that Prisma Finance is stalling and has “never shown integrity”. He also reassured users and investors that the assets are safe and they should not worry about the further development of events.
