Crypto Investments Surge: $155 Million Raised in a Week

In an impressive display of growth, 22 cryptocurrency projects attracted significant investments totaling $155.14 million between November 16 and 23, 2024. According to data from Incrypted, this period saw a marked interest in sectors such as Blockchain Infrastructure, Blockchain Service, GameFi, and DeFi, highlighting the dynamic nature of the crypto industry.

Leading the Charge: Canaan Inc. and Monkey Tilt

Canaan Inc., a company renowned for its computer chip production and mining solutions, secured $30 million to expand its mining operations in North America. Similarly, the gaming platform Monkey Tilt, specializing in gambling, also raised $30 million in a Series A round. This round attracted notable venture capital firms like Pantera Capital, Polychain Capital, and PokerGo.

Diverse Projects and Strategic Investments

Several other projects also made significant strides. Deblock, a cryptocurrency wallet team, closed a seed round with $16.8 million, funded by Headline, 20VC, and others. Noble, focusing on stablecoin operations, raised $15 million through Paradigm and additional investors. Furthermore, Bitfinity Network received $12 million to enhance its Bitcoin-based L2 network.
The GameFi platform KGeN announced a $10 million investment aimed at expanding its ecosystem, with Aptos Labs leading the undisclosed round. Valantis Labs, through pre-seed and seed rounds, raised $7.5 million to develop decentralized exchange pools, with support from Kraken Ventures and several others.

Smaller Yet Impactful Investments

In addition to these major players, smaller projects also secured funding. Rise, a hybrid payments platform, closed a Series A round with $6.3 million to accelerate business sector solutions. Shinami, a developer platform provider, gathered $5.65 million in a seed round led by Coinbase Ventures.
Other projects like OpenLayer, Truemarkets, and Barter received investments to further their technological advancements in AI and DeFi infrastructure.
