Ethereum Correction in Its Late Stages: CryptoQuant Analysis
According to CryptoQuant, a prominent analytics firm, the correction phase of Ethereum (ETH) is nearing its end. The company’s analysts have observed that buyers are gradually regaining their positions, a positive sign for the cryptocurrency market.
Key Indicators Point to a Recovery
CryptoQuant’s analysis is based on two critical on-chain metrics. Firstly, the buyer/seller ratio across all exchanges has turned positive again, suggesting a resurgence of buyer activity. Secondly, the open interest (OI) metric, which aggregates all open long and short positions, shows promising signs.
In June 2024, when Ethereum’s price hit $3800, open interest soared to a record $13 billion, indicating a potential market correction. This correction did indeed occur, and by August 5, open interest had fallen to $7 billion. Currently, the open interest stands at $10.69 billion, reflecting a steady recovery.
Market Implications and Future Outlook
For Ethereum to experience significant upward price movement, the return of leveraged traders is essential. These players can drive substantial market momentum, pushing prices higher.
“Current data shows that buyers in Ether are gradually regaining strength. However, time will tell whether this is a temporary rebound or the start of a strong rally led by the bulls,” stated CryptoQuant analysts.
At the time of writing, Ethereum is trading near the $2650 mark.
Positive Market Dynamics Forecasted
Earlier, CryptoQuant had predicted positive dynamics for the cryptocurrency market in the third quarter of 2024. The current data and trends seem to support this optimistic outlook, suggesting potential growth and recovery for Ethereum and the broader crypto market.
