Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou presented the strategy during the latest semiannual “Online meeting with Ben”, titled Make Your Move, as the company seeks to transform from a cryptocurrency exchange into a full-service financial platform. Zhou discussed Bybit’s expansion into traditional markets, new products and partnerships, according to information the company provided to Incrypted.
The presentation took place live before an audience rather than in the usual studio format. Zhou and invited experts discussed changes in the financial sector and the technologies and products shaping Bybit’s next phase, the company said.
Stock trading and tokenized mStocks
Four years after entering traditional finance through contracts for difference in 2022, Bybit has become the largest cryptocurrency platform for trading those instruments, according to the company. It said peak trading volume reached $100 billion.
On October 12, Bybit launched stock trading for users who meet its requirements. The service provides access to more than 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds, with trading conducted in USDC. It supports fractional shares and operates 24 hours a day, five days a week, covering pre-market trading, the main U.S. session and after-hours trading.
Bybit and Mantle are also developing mStocks, a tokenized product based on stocks, for launch in November 2026. According to Bybit, the tokens will be backed 1:1 by the underlying shares.
The companies plan to support round-the-clock conversion between the relevant securities and mStocks on Bybit, as well as decentralized-exchange trading through automated market maker liquidity pools on the Mantle network. Convertible mStocks are also expected to be transferable to Bybit’s Unified Trading Account and usable as trading collateral, subject to applicable terms.
In June, Bybit launched IPO Express, which gives eligible users access to selected initial public offerings at the offering price through tokenized representations of the underlying securities. The first asset offered through the service was SpaceX. Bybit said IPO Express was designed to give clients access to selected primary-market instruments in addition to the secondary market.
These services add to Bybit’s existing perpetual contracts, pre-market tools, foreign-exchange products and options. Its traditional-finance lineup includes more than 600 products covering stocks, ETFs, indices, commodities and foreign-exchange pairs.
Trading volume for Bybit’s traditional-finance perpetual contracts has exceeded $180 billion. Recent launches include foreign-exchange perpetual contracts and options on perpetual contracts, which Bybit described as the industry’s first options product based on traditional-finance perpetual contracts.
The company is also developing perpetual instruments linked to artificial-intelligence computing infrastructure and commodities, broadening its product range beyond cryptocurrency markets.
Payments infrastructure
Bybit is expanding its payments infrastructure through Bybit Pay and the Bybit Card. The services support cryptocurrency and fiat transfers, merchant payments and everyday purchases.
The company said its payments ecosystem connects users with more than 5,000 merchants in over 15 countries. It also supports transfers to bank accounts and electronic wallets, QR-code payments and other payment services. Bybit said it has issued more than 4 million payment cards.
Security, regulation and AI
Bybit said it is investing in security, compliance and technology infrastructure as the platform expands. In the first half of 2026, the company blocked more than 30,000 suspicious withdrawal requests, helping to prevent more than $700 million in potential user losses, according to Bybit.
During 2026, the company also obtained five new licenses and regulatory approvals covering the European Union, the Cayman Islands, Indonesia, South Africa and El Salvador. Bybit representatives said the approvals support further international expansion in accordance with local regulatory requirements.
In September, the company launched Bybit AI, an artificial-intelligence assistant for trading, account management and customer support. Bybit plans to continue developing the product as part of its broader financial-services ecosystem.
“The main thing for Bybit is to give users the speed and scale they need to make their move. We have brought together trading, investing, payments, and AI, and we continue to add new markets and new ways to interact with them. We built the platform. Now our task is to give people the financial freedom to make their own choices and act,” Zhou said.
